what were you doing when it started doing this or what was the last thing you did before this happenedHelp
Played a game I forgot which onewhat were you doing when it started doing this or what was the last thing you did before this happened
tried all of these things and none worked and i don't have a backup sysnandAre you using Luma3DS with boot9strap?
Edit: The Title ID is 0004003000008F02 or the USA version of HOME Menu. Maybe someone else can fill you in what's going on with it.
- Attempt Recovery Mode. Reset 3DS to see if HOME Menu will boot up again.
- Try removing & reinserting battery and starting the 3DS with the SD card. Try it again without it.
- Copy all your stuff to desktop, reformat it in FAT32 + 32 KB cluster size (with guiformat if bigger than 32 GB), and run a Full Write + Verify Test with H2testw.
- If the test comes out clean, copy everything back to the card. Replace the boot.3dx if it doesn't boot into HOME Menu.
- If it still doesn't work, attempt SysNAND restore, CTRtransfer, and Lazarus3DS as last ditch efforts.
try booting without an sd cardtried all of these things and none worked and i don't have a backup sysnand
have not tried lazarus dont know where to get those does it need a second 3ds because i have two of the same modeltry booting without an sd card
He said to boot without an SD card..have not tried lazarus dont know where to get those does it need a second 3ds because i have two of the same model
it wasn't reading it at first but i formatted itBad SD card then?
I'll tryDid your card pass a Full Write + Verify Test in H2testw when it was reformatted empty?
(Do not proceed unless card properly passed H2testw)
- If it failed at any point, your card is no good either from being fake or having worn NAND cells. This cannot be fixed.
- If it instantly passed without writing anything to it, your card died by locking itself in read-only mode. This also cannot be fixed.
Try using MiniTool Partition Wizard free edition and select the following options in reformatting.
- Delete All Partitions
- Convert GPT Disk to MBR Disk
- Rebuilt MBR
- Create Partition [File System: FAT32, Cluster Size: 32 KB]
Do a barebones CFW test setup with none of your original files.

Maybe update your boot9strap if you're using one that's version 1.1 or older?

Since you have no last known working SysNAND to restore from, exhaust your options with NTRboot, CTRtransfer, and Lazarus3DS. If those last two cannot recover your 3DS, the fault may be an internal hardware failure...
a variant of the mysterious Blacks Screens of Death brick (with usually) working HOME Menu sound.
