Hacking 3DS CFW 11.8

I'm new to the whole modding and CFW. Can I still get CFW & the freeshop on my 3DS while on 11.8?

also is there anyway to downgrade to 11.7 without any cfw?

Yes, you can. But Ninty can now detect that you are using unowned games...

If there was a way, it would be publicized. There is not. There were plenty of notices not to upgrade to 11.8 when it came out. Your only options are ntrboot or seedminer.

Not really, the changes so far seem to just prevent downloading of games you did not purchase in the eShop. This would be a server-side change so staying on <11.8 will change nothing.
