I have an Old 3ds XL and whenever i use the front camera for a game it doesn't work at all and can't detect anything, yet the camera above the top screen still works. But when i use the FBI QR code scanner it still works just fine for some reason, unlike the games. Does anyone an answer to why this happens?

This is pure speculation but the 3DS has two cameras on it's back and it might be that only one of them is not working and that the games use data from that camera while FBI (and maybe other homebrew too) uses the other cameras data.
