I'm still getting that annoying flash only thing I think I can do is get another luma folder

By "flash", do you mean the screen flashes blue, or the power LED flashes blue? Screen flashing blue isn't an error condition I've heard of, and power LED flashing blue means b9s can't find boot.firm on either SD or CTR NAND.

it likely means they got a9lh installed. They need the luma 7.0.5 version

I had this problem and was lucky that I had backed the ofw nand and reflashed it. Nice to see this solution get resolved over the net though.

I'm curious to know how you can go back to normal 3ds (assuming OP had no sd files or nand).
