3DS Australia Price announced

not a bad price... i wont buy it until the flashcarts are released (hopefully) which will also be the time when 3ds will be cheaper (hopefully)
i wished for red too but this time i am getting blue

I'm pre-ordering through Amazon. I think I'm paying roughly AU$270 (incl. shipping), with their 2-5 day international shipping option... Saving so much and I'll be getting it possibly the same day it is first released in AU >.>

Yeah, but australia is usually treated as the same region as, uh, was it america or europe?
If you're lucky, I think AUS content = PAL content, so importing a UK 3DS might be a good idea.

If I were importing based on that gamble, I'd wait until it launches and see if that's true...

are you sure?
amazon usually doesn't mention shipping costs, and whether it can be shipped to you, until you reach the payment page.
oh, and they tend to have rather ridiculous shipping rates to other countries. (DX can do HK-NL for free, and amazon asks €60 for UK-NL)

EDIT: got hold of a toy-store's 3DS release list(EU) and LoZoT isn't expected until june.
same for kid icarus and starfox64
don't hope for paper mario and mario kart either, those are expected for august and september.

I think Nintendo should've taken more time before revealing plans for the 3DS and such... Lack of doing so has left us with an almost completely terrible launch window games list. >.>

Amazon will always let you know the item can be shipped to you or not before you pay for it.

Got the black 3DS, Super Street Fighter 4 3D and Lego Star Wars for just over $370 including shipping.
I recommend getting in while you can.

yea, the last page before the actual payment page.
i've stumbled on it quite often, finding a good deal on amazon and having to cancel it on the last moment because it can't be shipped to my house, or only at very high shipping costs instead of the promised free super-saver shipping.
would be much better if they'd just mention it the moment you try to add something to your shopping cart.
anyway, luckily i have no reason to go to amazon.
got a "pre-order" for a blue 3ds at a local gamestore(no'1 on the list for blue)

Even if it is Region Locked you can just import US Games for cheaper then they are in Australia...

getting the 3DS the day of launch in aus. no loz means no games, so i guess im living off my magical flashcart SCDS2 if it worx. otherwise I'm gonna play HeartGold again. I have to prepare for an upcoming battle with my best friend/greatest rival anyway, so chances are I'll be on HG/SS using pokesav to make them super-strong training up to level 70 100 so theyre ready to prestige fight.
