What is Difference between Virtual console and 3D classics?

Because when you see this screen:

you can clearly see that there will be Virtual console and 3D classics.

What if there will be VC like super mario land with 3D support,
And 3D classics like remakes or something like that

Just asking... will the inclusion of 3D classics (GB/GBC) make those games/homebrew illegal? Since they are on sale again on the eShop.

those games were ALWAYS illegal if you had pirated copies of them. A copyright protects the work from the time its created until 70 years after the creators death.

What flaws does the 3DS have?? I'm clueless as to what you just said.

There's been some build quality issues. People report that the screens scratch each other when the system's closed, there's that so-called "Black Screen of Death" (well not really "of Death", more like "of Setback"), and probably some others (I don't count the top screen wobble since it's supposed to be there).

There's other "flaws" with the system and the premise itself but I'm not gonna get into it.

As for 3D Classics, I'm guessing it'll just be older games with some tacked on 3D that you'll pay more for. Whoopie.

I can't wait to see the 3D effects on a 22-year old monochrome 2D-platformer.

I bet jumping on koopa's will require more hand-eye coordination than normal and that Tatanga's gunshots will fire directly at the player as well as to the Mario plane.

I'll take Link's Awakening in 3D. Though, it'll probably be a "on or off" deal, like with premade 3D pictures and some other features on the 3DS, which is cool with me.

Virtual Console is that, a Virtual Console. The games didn't have 3D, so they won't in the Virtual Console, since it's emulating.
3D Classics would be...Classics...in 3D. Retouched to have the 3D gimmick.

3D Classics are any games from the Nintendo library with the sprites layered to add a 3D effect.
Virtual Console will only be handhelds, in their usual form.

OK I realized the typo and fixed my previous post to Vitual Boy (not virual console). Also virtual console may not be limited to handhelds. The 3DS is powerfull enough to emulate 8, 16, and maybe 32 bit home consoles. Yes, that is a BIG maybe on the 32 bit side.

That's why they'll be put in the 3D Classics section.
Nintendo have only announced handhelds for VC.

I always figured 3D Classics would be using updated 3D graphics, like a 3D classic Mario Bros with NSMB graphics or a 3D Links Awakening with Four Swords graphics for example.

Although, even if it was just the classic sprites with 3D effects added I'd probably still get em. XD

Actually, since Mario, Link, etc. are owned by Nintendo inc., doesn't that mean that they are protected for 70 years after Nintendo itself goes down?
