Hacking Homebrew 3.80 > Custom Firmware is it possible?

Friend of mine has new Psp lite and with 3.80 .. i saw on another forum about how they installed the custom firmware with the psp lite by itself.. would that method work on a 3.80 firmware on a psp lite?

Also would it also help out with my psp custom firmware to help make his magicmem thing ?

Yes you can install CFW on a 3.80 PSP Slim, you need a Pandora battery and a magic memory stick.

If your PSP has an older version of CFW, what do you need to do to upgrade it? Is there a installer or something or do you have to use Pandora battery, magic memory stick and stuff?

You do not need a pandora battery or magic memory stick. Just get yourself a higher CFW and put that in the PSP->Game folder. Which version to stick in will depend on what you have currently.

If you already have CFW installed then upgrading is no probs all you need is CFW.

Some upgrades require earlier versions, just test them out.
