Hacking 3.4U Usb Loader Gx

Hello I'm new to Gbatemp and I have a couple question about my wii 3.4U serial No:LU311965531.

Knowing that 4.0U gives you the ability to use HDD and SDHC cards, will I still be able to use a HDD on my 3.4U with USB loader Gx? Also does bannerbomb work with 3.4U? and if the answer to this is No, then is there a way to Update to 4.0 while avoiding the upgrading to 4.1U?

1. Yes.
2. Yes from every understanding it works from any 3 number to 4.1.

3. Why avoid upgrading to 4.1U, theres no major difference except for save game protection, which is patched in .0005 seconds. And 4.1U works with Bannerbomb from everything I have read.
