So im about ready to invest in my first Slot 2 Solution for my DS Lite so I can finally play some GBA games, and I figure I'll get a M3 Lite Perfect.

Dell has a sale on removeable memory until 5/2 I think, and this seemed like a good deal.

Although I suppose if I'm only using it for GBA then I don't really need 2 GB, but oh well.

Anyway, does anyone have experience with this MicroSD? Good choice? Bad deal? Doesn't matter?

Thanks

Well you can get 1GB cards for as little as $10.

But if you really want a 2GB that's a good deal. $30 is about the cheapest you can find for 2GB ones.

i agree thats a good deal on the 2 gig but the kingston has a faster read\write speed that lets it run the newer games like PoR without the anoying glitches

i'm using a patriot 2gb i bought from newegg, was on sale for like 22$ i think and i have absolutely no problems w/ castlevania PoR so saying kingston is the only route.. stfu please jeezus

Um, I dont think anyone said it was the "only route". Just chill and dont get so short. Somethin buggin ya that you wanna talk about?

But yes, Kingston is a "reccomeneded" brand, not the "only" brand.

i think the "works the best" comment makes the "only route" comment seem legitimate to me. and no nothings bugging me that uch, but the sheer amount of misinformation that some fucks on this site spew out is absurd. the wii scene is pretty overrun with nonsense posted by people with idea or experiences with what they're talking about.

and unfortunately the DS scene has been like this for a looong time

i just snap sometimes

my bad

problem is the list of compatible microsds isn't really up to date or even great at all

its hard for ppl like me to figure out what works and what doesn't the kingston seems to be the safest bet so far

I'd agree on that 1gb kingston made in japan

I thought the 2gb sandisk has some problems with games like tony hawk and PoR and I forgot what the other one was called.

Also I think it's best to get a card w/o rebates, sometimes you'll find a kingston for $10-$12 but now everyone's price is back up.

i never said that the kingston was the only route, but having tested por on multipal brands (san, kingston [j] and corsair) the only one that ive not been able to glitch even when i tried was the kingston. and i was noting that it was a good deal.

i didn't expect to get flamed for bringing up a possibility

IMO, if you're not interested in POR or played it already, or you want the faster loading speeds, go for any other brand.
