Homebrew 2DS Menu Black Screen Errors

Hey my dudes I was wondering if I could get some help with my 2DS. I went to Walmart with my 4 yr old and she put the 2DS to Sleep and it stayed in Sleep for about 3 hours then when I turned it on it was frozen in a game. After force shutdown everytime it boots up it displays the splash screen then a black screen. I can still press L+D-Pad Down+Select to bring up the menu and Power Off that way but my menu is just gone, I'm not sure what went on. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Remove the SD card. Take a screwdriver. Open battery compartment. Remove the battery. Reinsert the battery. Turn on the 2DS without the SD card. Please check back if that doesn't work.
