Hacking 2 Questions about wii :)

Hey guys, i dont think i've posted in a while, so yeah....

I was wondering two things.

A. - Softmii, i already have cIOSCORP, and i was wondering if softmii had any downsides?

B. - There are games on the gamma compatibility list that need to be patched to IOS249. Because all IOS on my wii are cIOS (cIOSCORP) - do i still need to patch those games to 249 for them to work?

A. To me, cioscorp is like the backbone of Softmii. They added some health screen and customization stuff, bundled the tools needed to downgrade, preloader, ARC, wad manager and wrote a guide on how to do it. You don't really gain anything by trying to 'switch' to softmii (aside from custom health screen, if that's of interest to you) that you can't do by installing some of the other stuff on your own.

B. You don't need to patch anything if your on cIOSCORP. Think of it as having cios 249 installed into every IOS slot (not really the case, they are not all the same)
