I'm able to start the homebrew launcher and run unsigned code, so where do I find the app that boots roms

Err I have no flashcart or hardmod, is there really no romloader app?

American Somoa? Does your 3DS fall under the USA or one of the four Asiatic regions for Nintendo eShop?
  • If it's USA or EUR, can do seedminer.
  • If KOR, CHN, or TWN, R4i Gold Plus flashcart.
  • There's steelminer that's free CFW for JPN but homebrew only for the others.

idk why it says i'm in american samoa lmao i live in australia and got a PAL 3DS. I've used the steelminer method to boot up homebrew launcher
and I'm just looking for an app that lets me load roms.

Huh that's funky, why is that? Every other system I can think of, as long as you can run homebrew, you can boot games using a loader homebrew.

Really now?

Wii - booting homebrew is easy, running games require you to install a cIOS

PSP - HENs let you run homebrew, but not games

And so on.

In any case, 3DS needs CFW to run games, because CFW gives you kernel access. If you just run the homebrew launcher, you only have user access.

To explain what it means... (this is not 100% accurate, but close enough for an explanation) think of a computer. You only have a regular user account, but you need to be an admin to run unlicensed copies of games.

what's this about spending 2-4 bucks for seedminer?

Just go here, answer the questions it asks and follow the guide it gives you.

Seedminer is the thing you do if you are on 11.7. As for the money, that's because you must buy a DSiWare game.
