i use a little older version because i don't care about video streaming and the video streaming versions are not as stable, many times when i quit an app/game and try to open something else it just freezes.
and this little fork of ntr has autoexit too which is nice and fast and easy.

So this fork is actually stable?

Latest 3.4 has backlight adjustment and I'm wondering if there's a way to get this as well on shadowtrance's fork.

I've tried a precompiled backlight.plg but its just flaky.

Where's the version of NTR that allows you to video stream to your computer? I think I downloaded it yesterday but when I went into the NTR menu there was no option to stream it from the PC, and I'm using a N3DS.

This is awesome, I just upgraded to it and tested a couple things. With Luma CFW and no old firmware.bin

When actively streaming on my New 3DS XL I swapped back and forth between games without restarting the system. So that is fixed.
The only problem not fixed that I can think of off the top of my head is that closing the 3DS to sleep mode still crashed the system.
