steveice10, just wondering. Do you think this new procedure of installing cias, and native_firm later would do any difference for when you are updating instead of downgrading?
I mean, from 6.2 to 9.2, using the homebrew version of sysupdater, instead of using the FBI injection to H&S, then install FBI cia , then sysupdater cia.
My changes still install NATIVE_FIRM before updating other titles, as a newer NATIVE_FIRM can support older system titles. It only puts NATIVE_FIRM off until the end when downgrading.

That's make full sense!
Cheers for you guys! You did great in the last 4 days!

I was wondering: what happens if I try to downgrade again after a failed attempt that deleted eshop and system settings? Does it work and the apps are installed again, or does it fails attempting to delete the already deleted titles?

that iso site makes you have to register is theit another one that does not make you register
some one jsut upload 3ds cia update 9.2e and post me link in pm
No. We cannot share the files with you here because they are illegal. Nobody here is going to risk getting banned because you're too lazy to create an account.

Register and download the files yourself, or don't download them, and don't downgrade.

I'm just looking to further brick-proof the sysUpdater master branch the best I can. Not looking to fork or produce my own releases for it.
Okay cool. Thanks for all the work you've put in to memchuckhax2 over the past week. It's appreciated by all.

emuNAND Tool v1.0.3 says my emunand file size isn't valid so I can't even restore my emunand :(
Back up your memory card and format emuNAND again from the Gateway menu (or try setting it up with EmuNAND9Tool if you aren't already using it). EmuNAND9tool can also be used to backup/restore your emuNAND partition.

Wow, how the fuck did you manage that?

Anyhow, update to 10.3, then downgrade again. Use a new source for your 9.2 update files, it sounds like you may have had an incomplete set.

I am restoring my emunand prior to updating right now. Hopefully it works. Then I need to figure out how to properly update on n3ds in cfw.

sysUpdater got stuck at Getting CIA file informations... for about 10 mins, so I hard resetted. That's all. I'm still on 10.3 (I think).
Triple checked the update package and booted from menuhax.

Okay, so it turns out that I can't get this to run, AND that I forgot to backup my NAND onto my computer before formatting emunand. I went ahead and used emunandtool to backup my emunand in case I ever brick. Now I wait until this gets stable.

i'm asking my question again
i have my n3ds 9.2 nand backup, i'm on 10.3 right now, is there anyway to restore my nand?

Reinstalling recovery mode to a bricked 3ds would be possible?

I know there isn't anything like that right now, I'm just wondering if it's actually possible to do something like that.

I just need an answer.

So once you're downgraded successfully, no more complications, right? Just smooth sailing on our pirate ships across the seven seas?

If you downgraded with a successful downgraded Native_Firm, which many users don't have yet. If you can't boot into any CFW no matter what you try, update and wait until there's a 100% way to downgrade with all the right Firms.

It's installed all CIAs, and is stuck sayin 'Updates installed. Rebooting in 10 seconds', can I reboot the 3DS without killing it?

That issue was resolved earlier today, and the fix should be in TuxSH's (and my) build.
