For clarification, it looks like KTM is just using the same methods as sysupdater, the nice thing about it is that it's going to clear out any user error involving the bricks. So if something goes wrong, there's a reason why and leads to a safer downgrade for others.

I think it should be released really soon, it's being tested.

I don't know. If you know how things work, I doubt you have to wait his app.
I've never downgraded my 3DS before...and I'm pretty much a noob at this, so I'm assuming it's better to wait for the brick free way?

Does this mean memchunkhax2 is stable and working?

Delebile integrated the code into a library on his github. The comments on there say it works like 80% of the time. I'd expect that the other 20% of the time, it probably just crashes, but that doesn't make it unsafe. It would crash BEFORE any service calls could be made, so I'd think you would just reboot and you'd be good to go in that case.

I like to live my life on the edge

I already have 9.2 downloaded.

So I basically extract the zip with the cias to SD, open sysupdater, install the CIAs, and wait? Any steps i'm missing?

I'm pretty sure every method that has to do with downgrading that exists will brick you. BUT, I'd rather wait for something that everyone agrees on that seems to be working just fine. So, yes, just wait a bit longer. Mrrraou said it should be coming soon anyways.

Can someone who has downgraded make a post explaining everything step by step? My o3ds isnt hard modded and its the rare oot model so i dont want it bricked
Here's what I did:
  1. Put the sysUpdater app on the SD card.
  2. Make a folder called 'updates' on the SD card, and place all of the CIAs for the update inside.
  3. Start the Homebrew Launcher, and start any app.
  4. Force close out of it using the L + R + Down + B trick.
  5. Start the sysUpdater app and follow the onscreen instructions.
Enjoy!

So this version of the sysupdater app
1. Has memchunkhax built in and
2. Uses CIAs not TTPs?

But with the app he said it's basically noob proof so people won't brick their 3DSes. As long as it doesn't shut off I think you should be able to downgrade successfully.
