TuxSH did released the clean and working sysUpdater version.
Did he? I should learn not to speak when I'm so out of the loop then, my apologies.
The last available version I was aware of was the sysupdater mod released on Reddit. The one that bricked some consoles.
I assume the TuxSH version is safe to use, right?
 
So just to be clear. If I use the 9.2 US .cia files (put into the updates folder) with the new release of sysUpdater, it should work on my US O3DS 10.1?
 
YES, downgraded a 2ds to 9.2.0-20 btw i could even start the downgrading with the app released before and now it worked 1st try

It is. But not as much as KTM (for the end-user).

Will KTM get released? Also, do we need to wait for something else before it can get finished?
I think it should be released really soon, it's being tested.
Is it safe to downgrade, or should I wait for JustPingo's app to be released?
I don't know. If you know how things work, I doubt you have to wait his app.
