Oh my gosh!! Wooorrked!! It's installed a 9.1.0-20 instead the 9.0.0 I've downloaded.

Download the right n3ds cia files (or extract it from the ttp)
Create a "updates" folder on your root of your sd card
Copy all cia files in there
delete 000400102002CA00
Install the newest sysupdater homebrew
Use menuhax
Try to open sysupdater and try it as long as it doesn't pass step 8
If it pass Step 8, Downgrade by pressing Button y

Many tryings to work..
Thankyou @Ptrk25 for the steps.

Did it delete all of your previously downloaded stuff?

Congrats to everyone who now has 9.0 or 9.2!
I will be downgrading when I get home. Read everything, not a noob. Currently on an o3DS xl with 10.3U and have some quick questions:
1) Are badges working with 9.2? I remember seeing somewhere that badge support was added on 9.something but I can't find that post again. If not on sysnand, 10.3 emunand then?
2) When is it unsafe to hard reset the 3DS? When it finally gets past the downgrade prompt and starts doing its thing?

Did you open and close any app? or launched sysupdater directly? Still trying on my 9.9 USA 2DS :P
I actually didn't get as far when opening/closing apps and then trying, it tended to linger around step 5 if I did so.

Kept trying in nothing but Ironhax, went straight to sysupdater. Worked after... 20 or so tries, would be my guesstimate.

How do I open straight to sysupdater??? I am going to attempt this but want to know this as well just in case it doesn't work the normal way.

Thanks, I've been using menuhax for the about an hour with no luck. I'll try Ironhax.

I must be the only one waiting for ktm.

I will wait too. I have a spare O3DSXL 10.3 but no backups.

I did tried this method on the one I could restore my NAND that came from factory at 6.2.
But for the other, no way. Will wait KTM.

lucky ass fuckers

I'm on the same boat. At most I get to "Success!", but it always freezes there. I've tried with Ironhax, OoThax, Browserhax and Themehax. Wifi on, Wifi off. No dice.

I'm gonna try once more and if it doesn't work, I'm waiting till KTM is released.

Edit: Finally managed to do it! N3DS 10.3E to 9.2-20E

Try a different sd card freshly formatted with just the files needed it worked for me I had same problems as you. When constantly writing and deleting from a sd card it can become slow and maybe this could be the problem.
when i switch sd cards homebrew doesnt detect my 3ds folder
