If you do not have priiloader and load it from the disc channel via an unscrubbed retail disc, it will promt for an update and remove cios249, possible 222/223 and possible update your system menu. You can load it via disc loader and it should block the disc update. You really should install priiloader, it blocks these updates and provides the best brick protection second to common sense for newer wiis.
