Homebrew Emulation GameYob, a gameboy emulator for DS

I'm having a couple problems running the emulator. When I try to enter a directory, it instantly freezes. When I try to launch a game from the root directory (any game), both screens turn black and the game doesn't load. I'm using a Supercard SD. I've tried both 0.5 and the latest .nds, patched...

Hacking White screens on Supercard SD

I am talking about the Slot-2 Supercard SD. Edit: I have just patched N+, DBZ: Attack of the Saiyans, Tetris DS, and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper (GBA), and they all work perfectly. This is why I am confused as to why MKDS, FE, and DBZ: Buu's Fury (games which are compatible according to many...

Hacking White screens on Supercard SD

Thanks for the link exangel. I formatted with the program linked (the newest version), but MKDS and the 2 GBA games still don't work. I have also reinstalled my card firmware and the patching program. Any ideas?

Hacking White screens on Supercard SD

I am indeed talking about the Supercard SD (old I know, but it has worked flawlessly until now). I have verified the CRC of the MKDS dump, and it is valid. I formatted my card using the standard tool on Windows Vista; should I use something else? I may also try reinstalling the firmware on the...

Hacking White screens on Supercard SD

I patched four games recently, and three of them resulted in white screens. Out of Mario Kart DS, Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 (DS), Fire Emblem (GBA), and Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury (GBA), only DBZ:SW2 has worked. I have tried just about every combination of patching options for MKDS...

Gaming Pokemon Heart Gold And Soul Silver Chat Thread

I am definitely getting this game. GSC was my favorite generation. I didn't really play DPP. It got boring after a while, and the new Pokémon seemed weird... but I might play it if Heart Gold gets me back into Pokémon games. What exactly does the PokéWalker pedometer thing do? Is it required...

    Homebrew an ebook reader

DSLibris allows you to read sideways like a book and flip pages using the touch screen. It only accepts text and XHTML books though.

    Puzzleboy v1.0

maRk: I've tried patching the game with many different Supercard DLDI drivers that sometimes work when scsd_moon.dldi doesn't, but no luck with any of them. The folder isn't created either. When I try to load the game it just freezes after the menu slides out and both screens are filled with the...

Super Smash Bros Rumble v0.7 (Demo)

Would you go to court with Nintendo over a DS homebrew game?

    Puzzleboy v1.0

No, it does not make any folder on my card.

    Puzzleboy v1.0

Wow, this is a great game! My only complaint is that I have had problems saving. The game always appears to save fine, but when I restart the DS, the save either doesn't show up, or the game freezes when I try to load it. I have patched it with DLDI, and my flashcard is a Supercard SD.

    Cogito DS v1.2

This game is very addicting. I love it. My only complaint is that the controls could be better. Currently, you have to touch the arrows on the sides the move a row or column. I think it would be nicer if you could just slide your stylus across a row or column to move it in that direction.

    Ripholes in Rubbish

Works fine on my Supercard SD. Not that good of a game, in my opinion. Mainly because of the long loading times that you have to sit through right before every single level. Even if you just fall, you have to wait 4-8 seconds to be able to restart the level. Not my cup of tea.

Super Smash Bros Rumble v0.7 (Demo)

Good luck with this! I just wonder why you are so ambitious with the amount of characters. I think everybody would prefer a game with 5-10 characters and a great engine than a game with 50 unbalanced characters and an under-par engine. Just my two cents. I'll be watching this project.

Gaming Scribblenauts Hype and News Thread

When the built-in N+ community was up, it was a central server like you describe. It was fantastic. I think there is a fair chance Nauts will use a similar distribution model. Edit: Lol, just read AXYPB's post. Awesome.

Other downloads from /v/ apparently contain Cory in the House/Ninja Gaiden. Is it really that hard to wait another few days, or a week at max?

    Gaming virtual villagers hype thread

Does anyone know what skillpoints are, like that characters get from playing minigames? EDIT: I think the points are just for their skill bar that you see when you examine them. Now I'm wondering how to start planting and growing crops. I'm also wondering how my farmers can pick fruit from...

This is an interesting game. Right now I have 225 tech points, one guy building a hut, two people picking berries, and one guy researching. Too bad it's so slow.

    Homebrew DSaim 0.3e doesn't work.

By the way guys, you can use multiple messaging protocols (AIM, Yahoo, MSN, Jabber, Google Talk, ICQ) all at once through bitlbee. bitlbee is an ircd that interfaces to those protocols so you can talk to everyone from all your accounts through one IRC client. Since it is IRC based you can use it...
