    I don't think that the point in this case is necessarily what announcement they made, rather the point is that they have made an announcement in the first place. Were they to abandon the project it would have been better for them to stay quiet into the void of time and disappear from the scene...

    Indeed. If they had no progress or abandoned the project, I would have expected them to keep staying silent (as they have done for a LONG time now) and quietly fading away from the scene.

    Thank you for the responses. I think I will downgrade to 6.2.0 and keep using SXOS, but the process seems awfully complicated as I'm not familiar with fuses and NAND backups. Any good place to read on how to do this, preferably beginner-level?
