Hacking Trying to use Twilight Menu as a skin for R4i gold flashcart

As the title suggests, I'm trying to use Twilight Menu as a skin for R4i gold flashcart. Aka, to have the Twilight gold UI, but the R4i gold card compatibility. I've tried following this guide...

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

Thanks, I'll try looking into that playlist creator. I've been gone all weekend, when I get home I'll check it out. I found out why it thought I had no .core files available.. It was because I was creating playlists directly from the 3ds. And apparently that's a buggy feature at this point. So...

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

Hm.... A few questions if you don't mind. How do you build playlists on the computer? How do you change settings without the program crashing? And what do you do when you try to play a game and it says "no cores available"?

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

No offense to the developers or anything, but this is so incredibly buggy that I hope another solution for 3ds emulation comes out. I can't change the controls without crashing a few times. I can't build a playlist properly without it crashing, or not working (and it takes almost an hour to load...

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

Yes, when you are in a game, touch the bottom part of the lower screen. And, if you want the debug menu to go away while you are playing, touch the top part of the bottom screen. As far as the 1mb error, I don't know because I haven't tried it myself. You could try the mGBA emulator, perhaps you...

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

You need to put the retroarch folder on the root of your sd card. Inside the retroarch folder, you will see all the .core files. Leave all of those in there, and leave the retroarch folder as it is and copy the whole thing to the root of your sd card. In addition to that, yes, you need to...

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

I would assume that it definitely can play rom hacks, providing the core was compatible with the original rom (gpsp seems to have pretty decent compatibility, so my guess is yeah). Follow this guide here...

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

ahhh ok cool. Thanks for explaining the function of the retro arch .cia. Sorry for being such an idiot. So one more thing, I was trying to change the controls and I believe I changed a setting to use a controller, and now none of the buttons, d-pad, control stick or anything will work. Is there...

Is the .3dsx more stable at all? I can't do a damn thing without this program crashing.

Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

Ugh, so buggy. I have the retro arch .cia installed on a new3ds XL. Luma (newest) + b9s (newest). I tried to open a game, it crashed, now I cannot open the program anymore. Any time I try, it just gets a black screen, then will exit after about 30 seconds. Turning the system off then turning it...

Tutorial The Homebrew Launcher Emulators all-in-one Noob's Guide (SNES/GB/GBC/GBA/NES)

Whenever I try to place the files onto my microsd card, it says "You need permission to perform this action", so I press "try again", and the same problem happens. No matter what I do, I cannot copy the contents of the "retroarch cia" zip folder onto my sd card. Anyone else having the same...

Homebrew I can't get freeShop to work

Yeah, everything was good. I just hadn't updated from 11.0.0 to the latest firmware. Once I did that everything was cool.

Hacking How to install .3dsx files?

Yep. You just need the program fbi to install .cia files.

Hacking How to install .3dsx files?

Oh ok thanks, so it doesn't actually install a tile on the main menu?

Hacking How to install .3dsx files?

Sorry I'm an idiot, I can't find the answer to this question though. There are some homebrew apps that you can choose to download in either a .3dsx file or a .cia file. I'd rather install a .3dsx file than a .cia, but how does one go about installing a .3dsx file?

You sir (or ma'am) were 100% correct. I updated my system, and now it works perfectly. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

Homebrew [Release] arc13's freeShop fork - open source eShop alternative

I just figured it out. I had the access to the site that permits Nintendo's updates blocked on my router so that my Wii U firmware wouldn't be updated automatically. Problem solved! That problem at least... Now we'll see if Freeshop will work.

Homebrew [Release] arc13's freeShop fork - open source eShop alternative

It's possible, but I doubt it, because everything else is working except the freeshop. There is even a part in the 3ds.guide where it says what to do if your system won't upgrade, I just haven't looked into it much.
