    Meloetta-P actually opens in Amie, but freeezes instantly. Permanent Megas don't even open at all, it just freezes. Interestingly though, they do appear in the Pokéball as their mega sprites, which must make people scratch their heads!

    I've tinkered with it but I don't think I'm changing the right bits. This should all be clear, right? I think this next bit is where I'm going wrong. The 3DS doesn't show up in any "all clothes" code, Powersaves or via the PKHeX button for some reason.

    It will be possible but the Xerneas forms aren't currently in PKHeX, there's probably something you can do in the Save Editor software perhaps? Either way the form thing is probably the problem.

    I think what's happened is you've changed Xerneas' ability on Neutral Mode not Active Mode. At least, that's the only thing I can think of that sets Xerneas apart from the others.

    I might be wrong, but I don't think there's much of a chance of bricking your cart if you use the device sensibly. The instances I've seen are people trying to apply loads of codes at once, or making an egg shiny or whatever. I'd be interested to know what people have done to brick their carts...

    Is it a brand new cart, fresh out the box, and never used? If that's the case, it's not going to detect it. You need to initialise the save data with a Japanese 3DS.
