Tutorial MACycle - The Improved MAC Changer for HomePass!

With all the StreetPass changes lately, it's just unusually buggy for a Nintendo product. I've crashed a time or two recently when it was doing nothing but sitting there open. It's not directly related to HomePass, but since HomePass has caused people to use StreetPass Plaza more...

Tutorial MACycle - The Improved MAC Changer for HomePass!

I'm not 100% sure how you are storing the list nor how you are randomizing it, but what you could do is create the randomized list prior to actually starting the process and then process that randomized list in the exact same manner as the sequential list. I'll look at the source code to see if...

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

I think that StreetPass indicator is really more just to let you know that your wireless is on. The only way to know if StreetPass is actually occurring is the green indicator on the hinge.

Misc Has anyone attempted to abuse the Nintendo Zone streetpass relay?

Since you are in the 3x:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx range and you are running through them so fast, you may still be the person on all the relays and that's why you cannot get new passes. For us who are being shifted, less is more. The 3x:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx seems more rare so your pool of possible users is...

Misc Has anyone attempted to abuse the Nintendo Zone streetpass relay?

If the example he posted above is accurate and from his setup, his offset is in the 3x:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx range.

Misc Has anyone attempted to abuse the Nintendo Zone streetpass relay?

I would check to see if you're having your MAC address shifted. I am using an Atheros chipset and it always shifts my MAC address from the 4x:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx range to the 2x:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx which results in me always getting passes with the same people who are also shifted to that range. Some...

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

Mine was stuck for an unusually long time last night, but it did eventually reset. If it not reseting though, it is likely a driver issue since that seems to be the major problem everyone has. EDIT: Dang autocorrect...

I skipped the virtual router on Windows 7. Works much better to just use the command line for me.

Fixed how? Is it working with the correct MAC or is it being shifted?

Si, I thought that was what I saw as your card.

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

It's really easier than that. It is a driver for "all" Atheros drivers. Just check the list for your card (AR9285 in your case, if memory serves) and if it's there, download and install. I am fairly certain that it is compatible if I am remembering your screenshot correctly.

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

This is where my current Atheros drivers came from. Its not the same place I had originally got them from, but these work as well and they have fewer options (good for most users). It is still not perfect though since it still shifts your MAC address into the 2x:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx range...

Misc Has anyone attempted to abuse the Nintendo Zone streetpass relay?

It is possible to go completely wireless with a Windows 7 setup, but my router is still needing to be reset fairly often. Something about the constantly changing MAC addresses is messing it up somehow...but it's a pretty crappy old router anyhow, so it could just be on its way out anyhow.

Not blocked and it cannot be blocked by a 3DS system update. If they find a way to block it, it will be on their server side and that could happen at any time and there is nothing we could do about it. The only sort of 3DS update they could do that would kill the HomePass network would be one...

You probably see a lot of me then because I'm in the 2 series as well. Been sending personal messages about Atheros and being stuck in "2E MAC Hell." :P

Tutorial MACycle - The Improved MAC Changer for HomePass!

Well, you share your internet connection to the virtual hotspot, but yes, you can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi and then spit that internet back out your virtual hotspot for your 3DS. I personally do this because circumstances dictate that I have to keep my router underneath my bed and I...

    Gaming Should we be worried?

By that logic, the GBC would be a new generation of handheld since it was able to play exclusive games. I personally consider it a new generation.

    Gaming Should we be worried?

I enjoyed the games it had. Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Star Fox 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Donkey Kong 64, Mario Kart 64, Mario Party series, Super Smash Brothers, Bomberman 64, Bomberman 64: The Second Attack, Bomberman Hero, Paper Mario, Yoshi's Story, Kirby and the...

    Gaming Should we be worried?

Well, aside from the odd controller, I'd say N64 was great. GameCube and Wii were acceptable, but they were clearly not as great as their equivalent handheld.

    Gaming Should we be worried?

I am concerned, but not worried. I make the distinction because I am concerned that if they do not deliver us some good games that they will have a problem. I am also concerned that if they do not improve Wii U sales that the Wii U will end up like the GameCube and will be practically void of...
