Almost all competitive players were once casual players. They fell in love with the concept of the game, and that passion lead them to discover the incredible amount of depth within. Now they love the game for two reasons.

Hey guys, I plan on getting a gateway to play the jpn release of smash bros before it releases elsewhere. So first off my 3ds is on 4.5.0-10E, guessing that's fine, right? So as far as I can tell gateway supports up to 7.x firmware? Does that mean there are new games that need to be on 8.x to...
Hey, I'd just thought I'd mention another problem that alot of people around the interwebs are facing, and how to fix it. No-one ever resolved it, and it's annoyingly simple, at least in my case.
PROBLEM:
This appears everytime you try to run it in any kind of way:
Free the WADs *testing...
I can't speak for the crowd but I'd boo more for the exclusive part. Just feels like a way to make the huge and growing community, pressured into buying an xbone.
So I have got the infamous hardware error on hdloader. I have tried multiple versions, and all give the same thing. I tried OPL and it just doesnt show any games.
There are quite a lots of threads on the web about this problem but no-one has mentioned the sound the hdd makes. I don't know...
So false advertising. Would be pretty easy to get your money back.
Waiting a few more minutes and saving a few more quid. It won't affect gameplay, or at most, the tiniest bit longer to load a cutscene.

If anyone were to get to this thread because they have the same problem. I fixed the WinHIIP problem with this http://psx-scene.com/forums/f98/solution-there-has-been-problem-writing-hard-disk-drive-winhiip-64393/ Pretty simple and easy, but not obvious at all. The dude that I bought the network...
So these are printscreens of exactly what happens when I try to format in WinHIIP.
I select the drive and get this message
Click OK and click Format, get a bunch of "are you sure" messages... ok ok ok.. and then
Clicking OK brings me to
Clicking OK then goes to
OK again brings me...
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
