    Homebrew I'd like to "brick proof" my Wii

    Thanks djtaz, I was kind of thinking along the same lines. Sort of "If it's not broke, don't fix it". I find myself installing allot of VC and Wii Ware titles, and I'm paranoid that some day I'm going to install one that is going to screw something up.

    Which program are you using to install it? Is the .wad a NTSC-U or a NTSC-J? Are you trying to install on the properly corresponding console? IE: NTSC-U.wad on NTSC-U Console, and not NTSC-J.wad on a NTSC-U console.

    I've been burning at 2.4x and that seems to work for all of my other games. What all is cut out of the DVD 5 versions? And are you running the PAL copy on an NTSC Wii? If so, did you have to patch it or are you just forcing NTSC?
