It seems that your problen can be that you need to reflash the hwfly. I saw that and it was fixed after reflashing it. Note the battery power needs to be disconecte before updating the hwfly and make sure the position of the adapter.

I don't have a DS to try but i have the latest firmware 1.51 installed before the 5.1.0.11 update. Today(april 10) I download the latest kernel, formatted the sd card, unzip the files in the sd card then i try to run the R4 and keep showing me the error after i click the icon.

Hold L+R+A+Up before powering on (Left Shoulder Button, Right Shoulder Button, A, and Up on the D-pad) this will bring up the system update screen

I updated my 3DS XL with the new update 5.1.0.11 and now my card show an error after bootting. My card is R4isdhc dual core white 2013 from www.r4isdhc.com. Now i can't play ds games.
