Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

hey fig2k4: i have a suggestion for making the cover download feature even more comfortable: i don't know about the other loaders, but cfg loader allows to store the covers on the same usb harddrive where the games are, so how about the following: everytime a fat or ntfs drive is mounted, wbm...

An export dialog pops up to ask you where you want to save it.

if you have wbfs files on ntfs/fat you can simply copy them with any file explorer. if you have a wbfs partition you can try to raw clone it if the source and destination drives are equal, although i would not recommend that.

I'm not sure if i understand you. You renamed the .iso to a .wbfs file and moved it into a subfolder of the wbfs folder an a ntfs drive. correct? if yes: that won't work on the wii, because as i said, the iso needs to be converted into wbfs format (no matter if on a wbfs drive or as wbfs files)...

It didn't copy it - it converted it to the wbfs format, so manual copy-rename won't work

Allright, good to hear! I don't mind a little extra hdd traffic for having a) a better estimation for the remaining time and b) (almost) correct sizes in the list.

oh thats a pity - and you can't get the compressed size of a file out of the header? I can't really imagine winrar not saving such a property somewhere because if you open a multi part archive in winrar and selecting "show information" from the context menu of the iso file, it gives two...

Yes, i transferred to drive one, The total time it gave me was about 6 hours, and it was running for about 2 hours when the error ocurred. btw: the thing about the multi part rars i mentioned (that it displays only the size of the first part) seems to influence the calculation of the remaining...

As far as i remember it happened right in the middle of the transfer and not during extracting, so i guess the unrar code shouldn't be involved there. I think it must somehow be related to the queue length of the transfer job - it happend at the ~50th game, and this game worked fine after a restart.

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

I was transferring from rar'd isos on NTFS to wbfs folders on fat. I think i remember it happened during adding of a game (not during extracting a game), it *think* the game where it happened was 'Ninja Reflex' (RNZP69) which is only 944 MB in size. But i could be wrong on that, sorry, i don't...

fig2k: just had the integer overflow bug again, using the latest version you sent me... btw you should probably get some kind of issue tracker, google code or something, would imho be much easier for both you and us testers... p.s.: how's your child? alright again?

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

i have to transfer again, because the game is larger than 4gb and the second file is deleted on the failed try to rename ;-). I guess whats happening is (in unix commands): CODEmkdir #fails because windows is not case sensitive and thinks the directory already exists mv #does nothing because...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

I noticed a little issue: Don't know if this is version specific (using 50), but i just changed my harddrive from a wbfs partition to a fat partition, and when i press B after start (so that the console with the list of games comes up) the loader hangs for about 30 seconds while it displays...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

yes, as i said, the problem is the renaming. without renaming theres no problem, and i managed to make the program rename it to the correct (lower case) name by editing titles.txt, first to "Secret Files: Tunguska_asdf", then renaming in the manager, then editing titles.txt back to original...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

I'm sorry having to report another bug: 129 of my 130 Games work fine but the 130th ("Secret Files: Tunguska") is causing problems: I can add it to my fat drive, and it displays correctly, no errors in the log. but as soon as i unmount the disk and mount again it is displayed red and says...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

I left the transfer (rar'd iso -> wbfs folder) running over night, got the "integer overflow" bug, but it seems to be fixed already, good news! Now running again, doesn't seem to have any problems so far. I'm looking forward to the next version with wbfs->wbfs folder working and the int...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

Well i'm currently watching it working and it the games it already transfered are: -Broken Sword -Avatar -Lego Indiana Jones 2 -Lego Indiana Jones -Call of Duty -Mario & Sonic -Resident Evil -> not in [reversed] order ;-) btw: the truecrypt bug still exists, it doesn't let me select a drive...

Hacking Wii backup Manager for Windows

A minor issue i just noticed: When adding a multi part rar the size always reports the size of one part ;-) I also had issues when i tried to copy 130 games from a wbfs partition to a fat partition - The transfer seemed to stop after every single game. I think i remember checking the log once...
