We never really realised exactly how tricky it would be to translate until we started. We are finding stuff like 'yoroshiku' very difficult, we can't come up with an equivalent social convention in english.
And then the game threw 'futsutsukamono desu ga' at us... our reaction was identical to...
Honorifics, such as -chan and -san and -sama, do you prefer them to be left in a game when it is translated from Japanese? Or do you prefer localizations of the text/ideas?
Me and a friend are considering trying to translate Tacticslayer, mostly because we want a project and we haven't seen any other attempts to translate it yet. This would be our first translation/romhack, and it is mostly for fun.
