I'm on 4.2E, soft (for channels) and hardmodded (d2epro). I never use any loaders. I've updated my IOSes using ioscorp but I can't run this. It shows as a Wii system update on the disc channel. When I click OK than the update starts and after a few seconds stops saying: Update Failed. Any ideas?
I decided to update via Nintendo and start xzxero's updated 4.2 guide from scratch.
Nintendo update went fine but HBC didn't disappear (again), checked I was on 4.2E.
Followed the guide carefully and did each and every step fine.
The result is: I got my channels back! But this time I again...
Both the DoP-IOS MOD from the guide and DOP-IOS v8 didn't work.
I don't have a v4.2 phobia, the problems I'm having occurred because
a) I updated using Nintendo
b) I tried to re-hack carelessly
So if the cboot2 doesn't work, I'll try a 4.2 guide
OK so I downloaded both the IOS60 v6174 and system menu 4.1E and packed them into wads using the tool you gave me.
Chose IOS 202 to run wad manager (it didn't on 249).
Installed IOS60
Installed system menu 4.1E
Restarted wii, preloder didn't show up, system menu came, checked, I am on 4.1E...
I can't seem to find the wad file and I know it's against the TOS to post a link to it here. Is it ok that I've used Waninkoko's Firmware Updater v4.2 instead?
I know this, and never did it. Somehow IOS 70 got deleted or corrupted while I was following the guide (I'm not saying it's my or your fault, these things happen I guess)
OK so I'm now going to try to find system menu wad 4.2 and install it. Hopefully everything will be OK...
Ok xzxero, my patient friend, I selected System menu IOS as 202 from preloader settings and system menu came up finally. Every channel including SD channels is fine, both older and newer PAL backups run fine, NTSCs don't, HBC runs fine.
As soon as I enable any preloader hack, wii keeps...
I renamed it to hbc.dol, omigod.dol, runplease.dol, ohforfsake.dol and several other inappropriate to the board policy names but it still does not want to load...
I feel like school, back when I was actually in school, was more entertaining though, because of how much I get to interact with people, hang out with friends, and other stuff like that. All I get to talk to at work is my boring coworkers lol
Anybody here have a Xbox series S and a series X, is the performance difference noticeable? Not worried about 4k. I have a series X but not a series S and was curious. (Reason- I was thinking of buying a series S for a second tv, for when grandkids come over, to keep them off my X)
