    do you get any messages from your monitor when the problem accrues like "out of range" or "no signal" or dose it just go black with no message, this is a long shot try to change the video resolution also make sure you have no screen saver running also check your power saving options in windows.

    yes it is 24GB, it there just because I got a very good price on a kit (I Know someone who works at crucial) I know I probably wont utilize all of it but when you get something for a good price you don't turn it down.
