I used this guide to update to 4.2 : http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=171901
It worked great without a problem. Now when I load a 8gig sdhc card it will recognize it fine (clicked on SD button in wii menu) but when I try to load homebrew browser through the homebrew channel it wont read...
Last night I decided to update to menu 4.0
installed everything fine in this order:
1. cIOS36_rev9-Installer.dol
2. Firmware update 4.0 (waninoko's)
3. IOS60 Patcher
4. USB-Loader_v1.1
Everything installed perfectly, and everything even the wad manager 1.3 worked fine last night. Shut it...
I have 2 games that I have been trying to get working.
Both i think are Pal ( I have a US Wii but can play other pal games with no problems )
I tried every configuration in Gamma but to no avail all I get is a black screen or when I force ntsc it will go to a green screen
I'm using component...
When I went into the Homebrew channel I got a notice that an update was available....but I didn't apply it. Anyone else get this message? I'll see if I can get a screen capture of it and post. It stated it would update my 9 beta...just odd and scarry all i need now is spam on my wii.
I was wondering what size card do you use? What type? Is there any hope for installing an external USB HD in the near future? Let the flames and redirections begin
And just if nobody has said it in a while "Thank you GBAtemp & staff"
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
