    They're forcing people to buy 12 packs over a 20oz they stock 20oz way later. Given a 20oz is nearly $2.50 now it's better to wait until 12packs go on sale for $6. It's cheaper for a family but screws over the chance of just wanting to try one. Marketing.

    I don't see how hard it is for people to mess up vegetables especially now. If I never cooked with something I go on YouTube and watch a five minute video if I fail I fail and try again.

    No idea, perhaps it is about the quality of the vegetable? I never prepared asparagus myself to be honest, but I tried them as they were available in Argentina, and also as they come during season in Germany... and the quality/taste difference is remarkable.

    Depends you can season veggies not every plate has to be black and white. I tried some with salt garlic powder and butter actually came out tasty. Just pan fry until they get some color to them.

    I've also noticed that 1 TB means 2 slightly different things between Sandisk and Samsung. But usually they have some fine marketing print about how they calculate it.

    There are too many pet animals, and their central tenet that avoiding suffering is paramount really makes sense to me

    We would all love every pet to live in some made up paradise world, but the reality is most of those pets would never have been adopted and either spend their time in a cage at a shelter at great cost or be put down by the pound

    Yes and no. PETA believes that keeping animals as pets is animal abuse too, that any sort of animal ownership - be it pets or farming - is torture. They don't even try to adopt or rehome pets they come across, they just off them on the spot to "save" them from "abuse."

    I just learned that XBox controllers aren't rechargeable and actually still take AAs, just like the Wii era. Or maybe I should appreciate the option of going with a proprietary battery? So new to XBox.

    But honestly, there is still a few things that do that weirdly enough, my Meta Quest 3 controllers use AAs instead of having an internal battery
