    Is $150.00 USD an excesive price for a CRT TV? Not that I'm able to buy one since I cannot carry one (I had back surgery a couple years ago from 2 herniated disks), but that sounds sort of expensive at least my criteria.

    The most "poor" tianguis I've ever been to, was the Valle de Chalco one, and Las Torres.

    So yeah, regarding the GBA that I bought, originally I didn't intended to do it with the idea of renewing the console at all... but yeah, as it turns out, I will have to.

    The right hinge is broken, the screen frontlight was tampered with at some point and there's dust inside the screen (even between the lens and the screen that I tried cleaning), the battery is bulging, and the shell is a horrible aftermarket one.

    Tbh I'm tempted to do a video or something, since basically I'm just using the mobo, and everything is gonna be new.

    So yeah, ha, ha, ha. I saw a deal on an IPS display along with a proper "crystal" shell and... yeah, my GBA SP is going to Mod Land. I dunno how to solder, but otherwise I'm gonna replace even the speaker, buttons, the hinges, battery, etc.

    Along with the flashcarts, the total cost for it will be around $250.00 USD, so that sounds neat. I paid less for my New 3DS in 2019.

    I don't think you need to solder any GBA SP mod, it's all just screws, even including the speaker (which is springy, not soldered).

    Well, unless if your specific display hijacks the brightness button, then it's a single wire to a really small test point.
    And if it's a posh one with keycombos, then it's more tiny wires to tiny test points, and closing the GBA SP becomes a small nightmare.

    I bought one that does it though the light button and has different modes like black and white.
    I was tempted and I bought also a solder, so I may do it if I feel encouraged. If not, I may go with someone I know has good soldering skills to do it.

    So in the end I ended up buying an AGS-001, reshelled. The shell is usable bullshit, but the screen is in really great condition and so the motherboard. I may change to an IPS screen down the road.

    This is the flaw I was talking about; however you tilt the screen, you will see that more or less wide reflection. The colors will always be dull; playing from the 2nd slot of a DS Lite is much better, with excellent color rendering.

    @Nikokaro, I play my consoles in somewhat of seasons. There have been seasons I'm in love with my Switch, there have been seasons I only think about playing Xbox 360, lately I'm all about Gameboy (Donkey Kong '94 is a masterpiece).

    I do however clean my consoles and check if they work properly once a year most of the times. I hate seeing dirty controllers and such.

I'm not exactly into collecting games for such consoles (I belive in piracy for outdated hardware), but I do like a lot collecting the game consoles where there are games I want to play. I played a lot via emulation a decade ago, and after experimenting with real hardware, yeah it's so much better playing with legit controllers on a TV.

    I should've got a refund from AliExpress to my debit card, but instead they refunded me via their own "bonus" money. I got a little over $50.00 USD so I bought a bunch of shit, including new sticks for my N64 controllers, a New 3DS charging craddle, an MX4SIO, and a pair of New 3DS SNES face plates.

    So I just changed my phone to a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G (that's a mouthful). Such a weird thing to go back Samsung after almost 9 years. Anyway, the S Pen is kinda stupid and cool at the same time.

    I got the S24 Ultra and I'm using every last feature because I'm Pitaya and I love tinkering things™. The S-Pen I use for writing notes, and using it as an alternate form for using the phone, actually! But then again... >

    Why would you believe the S-Pen would be that useful? Think about it, the pen is just as useful as a pen but a little less. If you don't like breaking your lead with a Mech pencil or someone steals it, you got your phone and your S-Pen to which... Someone can take BOTH.

    That's a fair point tbh. I mostly use it for taking pics at a distance, but tbh is more much niche that I originally thought when I knew it from the Note line.

    Then the problem is you spending excesive time in your phone... deleting your accounts won't solve anything if you keep visiting those sites.
    Just turn off your phone and leave it alone for couple days. Or simply disconect yourself from the Internet and use your devices for more important matters.

    So I got my Telegram account banned by piracy, and someone hacked my e-mail and disabled my Facebook account (that was already deactivated). I got scammed (again, again). And for the life of me, I cannot fucking get a fucking job since july last year.

    My last thread made me realize two things: 1) I have fat fingers, and since my graduation ring is size 13 = 22.4 mm = 0.87", I guess it checks; and 2) a lot of people is interested on d-pads and talking shit about the Xbox 360 d-pad, and both are fine with me.
