  • Ordered an 8bitdo Pro 2 controller last night - HOPEFULLY it doesn't have the sticky-button issue the previous model has.

Dunno how they managed to screw up the Pro Plus, when the SF30 has no such issues, but they screwed it up somehow...let's see if they've learned from that with the Pro 2, whenever it arrives.

I do generally love 8bitdo's stuff, I remember my first 8bitdo was a Bluetooth SNES style controller with analogue sticks ... but this was yeeeearrss ago - and I'm obviously using an 8bitdo adaptor to use the Xbox controller

had to go look it up ... it was an N30 pro in 2015 - I actually miss that controller
Just completed BotW, and...meh. Disappointing Ganon fights, and disappointing ending. At least that's now done; I hope BotW2 is better...

Just feeling extremely underwhelmed right now, by just how average BotW as a whole was. Was there even a single high point, akin to Midna's Lament or defeating the Helmaroc King and saving your sister? No.
There were low points - Eventide, Trial of the Sword, One-Hit Obliterator - but absolutely no high points. Just...MEH.

Not to mention that Zelda is never actually seen outside of Memories or the ending, other than occasionally projecting her voice, in BotW - she's otherwise completely absent, unlike previous Zeldas (even if they didn't do much, they were at least physically *there*, y'know?).

“Left office” is the best way to put that. Obama was an overhyped dude that most people pretend wasn’t a war criminal.
Finished and collected everything of note in BotW, aside from the Seeds and Memory in Hyrule Castle.

Tomorrow, I'll storm the enemy base, get those last ~26 Seeds and Memory, defeat "Calamity Ganon" (he destroyed Hyrule Castle Town in OoT too, but wasn't given that ridiculous label then; why now? Why even before he awoke and caused said Calamity? Weeeird), and finally put this average open-world game to bed. Afterwards, Great Ace Attorney Chronicles!

350 Korok Seeds, 70 Shrines, and all but five Memories have been ticked off; not too much left of BotW now.

...And I also finished all Gerudo Town quests, so I never have to visit that disgusting sexist hovel again; yay!
Oh, and I've also done all four Divine Beasts; they're...not great "dungeons", honestly.

Like, I got stuck in Ruta (water elephant one) because I didn't know how to ascend to the highest level, or how I was supposed to legitimately get to the trunk terminal (moonjump FTW), and overall the Beasts just don't have the same 'feel' as a proper dungeon.

Again, this game really only has a "Legend of Zelda" skin; if it wasn't for textures and names, it'd be all but indistinguishable from a generic open-world game. I still think it's not a good LoZ game (or good open-world game, but eh). 5/10.

Tonight's BotW update: saved the Gorons and Rito from their Guardians, and now have 200 Korok Seeds total, and a lot of open Shrines.

Now to get that crossdressing outfit to get into that goddamn misandristic Gerudo city, get more Seeds, finish more Shrines, complete more quests, view more memories, and bomb the hell out of those sexist c*nts (I wish I could do that last one...).

Ocarina of Time's Gerudo didn't care that Link was a man, just that he snuck into their fortress (to rescue four carpenters); once that's done, the Gerudo leader gave him a pass to allow him proper entry - SO MUCH BETTER. WHY INCLUDE SEXISM IN BotW, NINTENDO‽

Stripping me of everything I have gathered, thunderstorms, garbage weapons, powerful enemies, damn-few resources for Food, bloody Hinoxes...absolute worst parts of BotW so far.
Pure goddamn torture, they are; why do they even exist‽

Fun fact: you can just drop stuff right before you touch the ground on the island. Then the trial will start when you walk on it... then you can pick your stuff back up.
    ...
And even with that glitch it still sucks
Akira, the reason that I love Pokémon chronicles is that there’s Hoenn Pokémon in each episode. Because they’re new and from the third region of the Pokémon world. Speaking of Pokémon chronicles, I remember that episode about Misty, who has to rescue a Delcatty.

Had nothing better to do, so started playing BotW for real. Eeeeh, still not a fan of empty map, but...it's something *new* to do.

@Jiehfeng I mean, Ubisoft does tend to put *far too much* repetitive crap into their open-world games, but the concept of "tower reveals activities in region" is one I can get behind; I hate not having direction, whether it's games or university projects, so having an empty map irritates me. The online map helps somewhat.

I understand how that aspect can be disliked. The maps in Ubisoft games are very convenient, but when I played BoTW after a while I began to really like the fact that nothing is marked. The discovery aspect I found pretty fun, of course I probably would've hated it of not for the Sheikah Sensor. Sounds like in your playthrough you haven't gotten that feature yet, so trust me it gets a lot better.

I kinda just wandered around randomly

Nowadays I sometimes I mark a tower- I get to them like 30 hours later because I didn’t actually go to them, I just wandered more and ended up at them
Akira, I have a question for you. Do you believe in mermaids? I just watched the Sofia the first special about mermaids. Besides, mermaids and humans can’t be friends. But with help from another mermaid, princess Ariel, Sofia helps the mermaids become friends with humans.
    AkiraKurusu
    AkiraKurusu
Mermaids? Not really; how'd that even work? Human genitalia, or fish? How much "human" do they have - how much "fish" are they? Can get *quite* weird, especially for me...
I wish Bravely Default/Second were more popular, had an established hacking scene...stat Bun codes would be amazing.

Or being able to edit shops/treasure chests/enemy drops to include Buns or Elixirs or Megalixirs or powerful gear; having each item's hex values would be extremely useful, since the BD file structure itself is well-organised. Where to edit is easy; how is not.

I swear my dog's a masochist, always peeing on the living room footrest whenever Mum leaves, and always being scolded for it.

We have tried vinegar and other stuff to deter peeing, and the backyard door's always open, yet he persists. Weird old dog.

He's actually quite a fortunate dog; he gets good food, a decent amount of exercise, a lot of attention, and he can go into pretty much every room of the house. He just keeps on peeing on that footrest, no matter how often he gets verbally scolded.
I can't wait for Elon "Scammer" Musk to become the next Lizzie Holmes. Dream big, sure, but DON'T DECEIVE PEOPLE!
Akira, my favorite Sesame Street episode is when Snuffy and Big Bird wants to play with Gina’s new baby, Marco. But he’s too little to play big kid games. This episode includes the episode of Elmo’s world about playing games.
Akira, in 2002, I watched some episodes of Hamtaro every morning. But whenever I get bored, I use my imagination to reimagine the episodes, which involves new animal friends who can talk.

    Wait, 2002? I'm confused.
