See above. TX is probably in large part Gateway, and they're comparable even if they're not.
Its however known that Gateway and TX are the same. Code inside the the SXOS proves it as well.
Members merged over. You'd be rather lacking upstairs to think there wouldn't be crossover in the code.

There's a bit of history for you. Show me code from PS1~ XBOX, even up to XBOX360, that is used in Gateway CFW. If you can show me this, I'll be convinced. Old habits die hard. If the same team made GW and used it's code for TX, then it stands to reason, older code was used for GW. Prove it. I'm genuinely interested. Until then, TX hasn't given me a reason to not trust them WRT SXOS. Although this whole thread is pointless because the OP does NOT show a message from SX saying a release is on the way. Going to bed now.

Lol, you use that line for TX, and I can’t use the same reasoning for GW? If the entire (current) TX team was GW, then GW would still be alive. With the source code, it could be made compatible with several more FW updates, thus lengthening the life and profits, with as little as updating a few patch addresses. The fact is, they don’t have that source code, because among the GW members who are currently NOT part of TX, is the main freaking programmer of the thing!
Why surprised? I only ever heard of 1 brick, in this case, and it was indeed someone trying to toy with it. The code did its intended job, and didn’t mess up otherwise. At any rate, I was referring to the fact that they have not yet failed to deliver a promise regarding updates and such. Since the legal issues and the last update for 11.0.0, I have still not seen such a promise directly from them, and I understand why.

That's doubtful. They have to financial motivation to do so, and virtually everything they do is driven by profit, since that's the point of a for-profit business. Gateway also had the chance to open source their work under comparable circumstances, and they didn't.
At this point it being open sourced or not, at least at software level, doesn't matter. The firmware on their chips has been dumped already, their chips have been repurposed to boot AMS. At this point the only thing of value that they can keep closed is the ability of running XCI.
