Wow. Lots of ignorant rhetoric in this thread. Some members of the Gateway team did migrate to TX, but TX itself has been around WAY longer than Gateway. It's unfair, bordering on stupid, to compare the two. TX was making modchips for the original xbox, even. They've been around longer than 18 years...

I am also an original user. (Just now noticed the badge thing was removed). But if you have Mariko, lite (and... even some later patched units? Dunno where that bit went...) SX is your ONLY bet. At least for the mod chip. Just like it was our ONLY bet when CFW happened on the Switch publicly in the first place.

I still use both. Depends what game I'm playing and how lucky (or not) I'm getting with the various cheat engines. I must say though, the Edizon-SE fork has made me spend waaaay less time in SXOS as of late. I might end up dumping SX completely as well, when I get used to / satisfied with that cheat engine.

Wow you're an angry little munchkin. Thank you for providing actual info on the subject tho, that it was an already existing bug in previous versions. I hadn't heard about that before, but that's a pretty funny and obscure fuckup. Also the imprecision of the wording goes to show that the list quoted in the OP was written by a user, not someone on the TX technical team, and as someone mentioned above, it turns out to be just a list of existing bugs, as opposed to "evidence" that an update for 11.0.1 is being worked on currently but delayed by bugs. So my cynicism about the original post is holding up pretty well, thanks.

You sure seem invested deep into Gary's eeh *stuff*. You are right functionality-wise, but that doesn't make their previous reputation undone. The blatant stealing from atmos is also kinda 'fishy'. There is more to a product than just serving functionality. Reputation is king.

Also, XCI loading is inferior battery and performance-wise. Something not really worth investing for on a portable device. It's easier for noobs to understand the file-management, though.

Not want to dig in this discussion again, but atmosphere != piracy. But it's a bit too much to ask from people who can't code I guess. Also, I said 'fishy' not bad. The whole gateway reputation though, that was bad with a capital B. Made me never wanna spend anything on TX ever again.

I have a patched Switch with the latest firmware. Can I still find a modchip, install it, change to Atmosphere and take advantage of the console as much as everyone else?

My post didn't include any tears. I have no tears to shed for TX.
The first post in this thread was predicting the future, and I responded to it with nothing that wasn't true. The time to believe TX will put out an update is when they release an update. Gateway said the same thing about releasing an update, and it never happened.
Are you going to tell all of the SX OS fans here now to stop predicting the future, or are you just going to continue shitposting hypocritical nonsense?
Acknowledging that nobody should take it on faith that TX is working on an update is not derailing the conversation. It is relevant to the conversation. This isn't a case of anti-TX members swarming an innocent TX thread with propaganda. This is a case of members who do and don't use TX offering relevant information. Nothing I said in my previous posts in this thread was untrue.
Over time, SX OS won't be able to be used with newer games and game updates if they don't release compatibility updates. SX OS also is not compatible with 11.0.1, which was a very minor update released months ago. For these reasons, switching to Atmosphere or planning the switch are recommended. At best, TX's future is uncertain, and you've already agreed with me that this is the case. If you've changed your mind, then I'd have to tell you to stop trying to predict the future.
You said one of the reasons you find SX OS useful is the ability to boot CFW on Mariko units, but Atmosphere can already do that.

You cannot play XCI files using Atmosphere. You can, however, install them to the system as of they were NSP files. There is no need to convert them.

As for using Atmosphere, just put the latest Atmosphere onto the SD card, add the proper signature patches, and boot using fusee-primary.
