Did you know that our brain is subjected to the very natural laws of Physics and Chemistry, and so, our brain activities such as thinking, feeling, remembering, seeing, etc. are just neuroelectrical impulses that gets recorded in our neurons?
So, each time you experience something your brain creates a neuroelectrical path, and when you experience that experience again, or remember that experience, your brain re-makes that same neuroelectrical path?

No, in fact your brain does not mess with you. It's the laws of nature that messes with you.
Do you think you're moving your fingers to type or your legs to walk, or that you're able to claim that you have free will?
Well, think again, as you've just learned that there's nothing you can do by yourself, like truly yourself.
You're just a brain, obeying the laws of nature in a flesh and bones mecha.
