Hacking New to Xbox hacking - worth it to buy JTAG Falcon for $100 ?

Exiso is what u use to extract them.

ISO2GOD will convert to GOD Files.

I have just completed my 360 Collection my personal list and extracted all my ISOs with ExIso and most if not all Video Files are blocky and or Artifacts green Artifacts and breaking up and some games are even crashing anyone know anything about this or has it ever happened to you?

@DinohScene what about you?

It sucks I need to redo all ISOs since I deleted them because I thought all went well after extraction completed.

exiso is an extracted iso or a jailbreaking format. it makes some games much smaller. xbox 360 iso games are certain sizes (i.e. 7.05GB/7.29GB/and whatever the size is for xgd3 games). they're security sectors with heavy padding.

Extracted hundreds of games with it, never had any issues.

ok i used exiso to extract the one game i had in iso and it worked !!

now is there any way to download the updates for the game ?

i have rock band 3 and i also have a bunch of customs songs i want to add to the hdd but i think i need to update the game first so that it recognises the songs

My brother got his modded for 30 bucks. Maybe go that route so you know what you have and if you don’t have one get the one that everyone likes. I can’t remember which slim it is but to someone who does them it doesn’t take but a little bit to do. The chips are pretty cheap. Maybe watch a few videos and give it a try on something that is already broken to make sure you have the confidence to get it done right. My brother did a few in the day with the OG Xbox and a phat. He said it’s easy to mess up the board if you don’t do it right. But still, with a little practice on some stuff that’s broken...make sure you use flux and clean the area really good. It’s not that challenging to do.

thank you - that content manager worked like a charm !

one thing i cant get to work is the game covers. i signed up at xboxunity and put the credentials on the xbox but they arent showing up - am i missing a step somewhere ?

Console can't connect to JQE360?
It should say "successfully linked with JQE" or something along those lines after you've pressed Link console (in FSD)

FSD isn't maintained anymore, Aurora however is.
Last time I checked, FSD still downloaded covers for me.

well i put my credentials for xboxunity into the jqe360 section but i dont see anywhere where is says successfully linked or remember if it did when i first entered them

sorry for the late reply - i have checked the credentials and just cant seem to get it to work - it should just be an automatic process correct ?

Also regarding the mame version that has been made for the 360 - i installed it and a set of roms that i found for it but everytime i start a game it gives me the screen asking for me to type 'ok' before the game will start.

Anyone know how to actually do that with a controller or work around that ?

not sure what could be going on with that emulator, but I remember a genesis or sms emulator on either the 360 or the wii that wouldn't function if you had too many roms in the roms' folder.

well it happens on my pc when running mame but i just type ok and the game starts - i think it is a regular thing.

was just wondering what people do on the xbox to work around that.

i guess i could just plug in a keyboard

I don't hold too much faith in 360 emulators. most haven't been updated in years.

It would be better to just build a budget rig or buy a cheap dell with a low end GPU,unless your into Xbox exclusives.

If you can find a falcon under 7371 (mine was 6683 blades) for under ~$120usd is a good price, the rarest jtags would be jaspers and opus (also the most reliable jtags[not referring to rgh]) will be~$150+, xenon/zephyr jtag less than ~$90 (most common jtaggable), any rgh console under $150 is good , jtags are worth more really due to them still "running" the blades dash, 2, is that jtags are stable by design, only needs a level shifter (diodes), they don't rely on glitching, jtag is only superior due to it being a software exploit (read as software exploit, not softmodding) otherwise no difference found other than compatibility

I went to GameStop got a black Friday 360 phat for $29.99, it's an opus, only rgh I own that is just as stable as my falcon jtag...... I guess I have a "rare" 360 now (yes I rgh'd it the same night do not judge me lol)

Opus consoles are essentially Falcons without HDMI.
Jasper boards are much sturdier lol.

Yep I about shit myself thinking they gave me a xenon, i saw the PSU was 175watt and I don't think xenons were made in 2008 either, mobo wise its identical to a falcon, minus HDMI, opus btw will still use HANA and is fine for rgh, though you'll want component cables, I haven't used composite on 360 in awhile, I'd say it looks better on a crt instead though if possible atleast use s-video

My opus runs the lowest temps, after playing bad company 2 and mw2 spec ops it's ~70C or less, almost as low as my trinity which usually runs around 60-65c ( dash temp is ~50-60c)

I guess my temps are decent. they're between 50-60c on the dash. I have them with a temp threshold of 60. it can get loud, but the system does run exceptionally cool. that's kinda where your surround sound speakers come in handy or maybe even a headset, so you may not even notice it. I think with the dynamic fan controls for the 360 and the ps3 many people were unaware just how hot the system gets. loud fan speed = thinking something is overheating. unfortunately, both sony and microsoft went with a quieter system rather than a reliable one. I wouldn't worry about it with either system. overheating on the 360 is two red lights. as long as it doesn't get to that point, you should be good.

quick question when downloading updates for games - how do i know which update to download when there are multiple listed and they have different media ID #'s and base #'s ?

would i just download them all and install all of them ?
