Im confused. Did people expect this to be an offline game? I mean its free to play or start or whatever with a pretty big focus on pvp. Most games like that require an online connection and while that doesn't always work well with a portable system, its not the only game that does it. Hell they have cloud games in japan. Now if this game was full priced like MK11, Id be pissed. No reason that had so much locked behind an active connection.
Game is actually pretty fun. Really makes me wish there was a full priced Burnout game. Also love the soundtrack. It really feels like they just took all the music used in the Lucifer TV show tho. Was thinking about buying Mario Kart for online play since Tour was a disaster but this has been great so far and it has an actual multiplayer mode. It does sadly have heavy loot box mechanics tho. Makes me wonder what will happen with it down the line.

All I know for now about this game is — there's an offline mode (Quick Race), and it's officially (sic!) developed. It's all I want to know about this game right now, but we need to unlock it with help by a non-banned user, 'cause even starting offline mode depends of online mode in the first place (ehh? wtf??).
I don't care AT ALL about all the another online stuff or freemium things or paid dlcs or pvp or whatever.
That's all we want.

Not everyone Plays Games Online, for Competition with other Users over the Internet. What about those that just want Offline for Single Person Career, or Playing against others 1-4P????
Might not. From what I can tell, this seems to be strictly a Online Connection Required, no matter what type Game. Wait for a Offline Update Patch or DLC.
Yep you're right - still there are hundreds of other games to play instead and other car racing type games as well that don't need an internet connection. I'm playing quake 2 just now and considering that's an old PC game - it plays awesome on the switch, and is better than many of the proper switch games.
OK, just how do you find out how many damn "Flags" you have?????? Also, does it continuously Pause telling you certain Button Presses, when YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE THEM???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1), at the main menu, I believe, and on the story mode menu, definitely. 2) Nope, only during the first few missions.
