I fixed my left stick's drift by cleaning inside the joystick with compressed air, as other people have suggested elsewhere.

Tip: read the instructions on the can first so you don't squirt liquid into your joystick.

under the thumbstick, there is like a little rubber cup, like a suction cup, if you flip that up, and use a qtip to clean under it, that sometimes works, but the joy con thumb sticks are crap, hopefully some company out there is working on a different model of this thumbstick, because they suck. Try this first before taking your joycon apart, because if there is a pet hair or some dust in there, this would fix it.

Electronic contact cleaner works but unfortunately this is just a band aid solution and it will drift again eventually. Just buy a replacement stick and never buy another set of joycons like I did because it also eventually drifts in just months of me using it.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
BakerMan @ BakerMan: idk how hot of a take this is, but science as a subject sucks
