Hi, I have a japanese Vita Slim wich I swaped the motherboard long ago because it had 3.61 native firmware, and recently I found out that the motherboard I swaped is not compatible with the rear touch pad:cry: ( There are 2 models of rear touchpad ).

I asked if someone knows a software method to make it work but nobody seems to know about this, so I'm going to change the back touchpad for a compatible one. In case you understood nothing my question is:
Does someone knows how can I take off the not working touchpad and get the working one fixed to the shell?

If someone reads this, I changed the touchpad( I bought it for 8€) and it is working perfectly now. The touchpad is fixed to the case with soft glue, be careful.

How did you get the rear touch pad off? Did you heat it up so it was easier to peal off?

Hi, I used a flat and rounded wooden bar, you can use something like that made from plastic to avoid scratching the case, then carefully start peeling of the corners and the outer sides then going deeper until is safe to finally remove it.

I didn't use heat, just patience, also didn't need glue to fix the new rear touchpad, the remaining glue was enough, hope I've been helpful
