This is the problem I got too: in neutral position, the stick was drifting to the left for me.
I get it "repaired" one time but I got another issue after: the stick never goes to its maximal position on bottom/left (which means that the character in Pokemon Let's Go cannot run in those directions).
I had to send it back, I wait the second return now and hope it will work fine...
I can give you the following advice when you get it back, use the stick calibration setting and check:
- The neutral position several times (even with the repair, I still have some issues)
- The maximal position in every direction (by doing some circles)

Also, an important thing that I forgot the first time (because I didn't read properly the send back condition), don't forget to put a copy of the bill in the package!

Bought on Amazon, so I don't have a bill.
Mayve I'll print the order.

I've sended the joy-con's for the same problem to nintendo.
You can get the bill on amazon, if you don't know where you can ask to amazon support they will help you with that.

And also Nintendo can ask you to send the joy-con + console. When I contacted the technical service, they said i had to send-it.
I talked with them saying "I have another pair of joy-con and they work flawless, also I have a trip next week and I will be so frustrating if I could'n have my switch"(It wasn't an excuse)

After that we agreed to only send the joy-con.
And after a week and half my joy-con where back and perfectly functional :)

I hope my experience can help you a little.
