I've always used PicoDrive for my Sega CD needs on various Retroarch installs and had zero issues related to it. For some reason the Switch is not kind to Sega CD games for either emulators thus me having to bin/cue all the games. I can get the games to load on the first or second try now, usually. The games are saving properly and save states work. No crashing after a game properly loads either so I'm fairly happy with the setup now. My SNES Mini and USB hub are now going to collect dust.
Or you know... use a cfw that doesn't break shit left and right for no apparent reason.
System freezes are SX OS related. In other cfw's u can Home-out most of the times

that's what im trying to explain the genesisgx core just works...

why use a different core that works half the time...

I've already explained the issues happens with BOTH cores...........

I've already explained this as well. I can home out now. The system freeze only happened with multi-track audio Sega CD games, everything else worked fine. Or you know... maybe not blame everything bad that's happened in your life on SXOS? lol

How to download game and place the files in the switch...
Get something like this, no need to download any games at all.
Put them anywhere on your sd card, launch RetroArch, head to load content, navigate to your rom file and launch it, select the core (e.g. Snes9x) and have fun.

Oh boy kamelred what a jerk obviously if someone else explains that everything works fine with a core you are not using then it has to do with your config when you have failures.

So you lash out at dev!? That is someone helping you...

Looks like a new video demo will have to be posted for sega cd just showing it works purrfect (thanks m4xw I feel so lucky) sigh why do people blame others for their own failures I will never understand.

Just pick urself up and dust urself off and try harder sheesh

You and Wiiugold are the only trolls i see over here

Cool. I've said multiple times how I've used both SCD cores, and both had the same problem. Yet he keeps repeating the same shit over and over. Sorta like a troll....

Anyways, I don't care if you have some sort of hateboner for SXOS as I just wanted to play some Sega CD games with Retroarch on my Switch. Since I've figured out how to do that with a 90% success rate I'll take my leave. Politics trumps actual technical discussion about the issue, I guess.

Retroarch completely crashes my Switch when I try to play Neo Geo roms, is anyone else running into the same issues? Doesn't matter if I use FBA or MAME

EDIT: I'm on SX PRO

well dude i mean cmon if im explaining it works flawless and you are having issues then im trying to help why you turn that into trolling is beyond me. Negative petty jealousy? No clue. But I know if I wanted sega cd to work I'd pay attention if someone said hey working great...
