First of all thank you very much for this great tutorial!

The get_ticketbins.py from your post fails to dump all tickets in some cases (as confirmed by two individual people (me and someone else) experiencing the problem in the reswitched-discord).

I attached a version which fixes that problem.

THanks for your tutorial, everything went smooth so far except with
get_titlekeys.py, I'm getting "Invalid CAL0 magic!", with a fresh dump PRODINFO.bin from HacDiskMount. I'm using OSX for Python but I don't seem to be having any issue. Using pycrypto 2.6.1

No I didn't, I think that's why. Sorry i'm an idiot, retrying.

EDIT : yes it was. Worked great, I'm a noob and thought your tutorial was great, easy to process. Dump my first eShop game from my SDCard, was easy to get the SD Seed. Thanks !

  1. Open /save/8000000000000043 in a hex editor.
  2. Search for the contents of private.
  3. Copy the 16 bytes after that. This is your SD seed. Don't lose it!

Except that I have nothing after

"hactool -k path/to/your.keys game.nca --titlekey=put_your_title_key_here"

Done!
Except that I do not have RomFS & exefs

Still can't extract updates, followed tutorial correctly and I get "BKTR section seems to be corrupted;
Section 0 is corrupted!
Section 1 is corrupted!"

I have tried the command both with an encrypted and decrypted form of my base nca to no avail. Redumped everything and it still happens.

are you sure you used the update title key and not the base game title key? there's a difference

have you used hactool before? you need you put --romfsdir=romfs and --exefsdir=exefs to actually dump anything

I succeeded! so that corresponded to Ticket 8, I do not know why the first time it made me a mistake i created a new directory with hactool and there he correctly create the romFS & exefs, there is a topic to share the Titleid?

(I do not know how but he manages to find the game save)

Thanks for this guide, planning to give it a go soon. In the meantime I'd appreciate any clues to anywhere these eshop dumps might be ending up online...

alright so i had to help someone else out with this. your.keys (now named prod.keys in the guide) should be the hactool keys file, with master keys and stuff. i can't give it to you on this forum.
Yeah, realized I messed up and the master keys weren't in my keys.ini, figured everything out and it's working. Thanks for the tut!

Hi!
Thanks for the tutorial.
I'd like to know what the difference is between this and Checkpoint (which also creates folders with your title ID on the SD card)?

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.

I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
