Supposedly language files being removed from starfox zero helped lower load times.

If I recall, removing all but one language, dropped the load time from 40mins to 10min. Then packing the language files into one of the data files dropped it to a normal time.
The problem with Star Fox is the huge amount of audio files being streamed from disc.
We solve the problem by packing them into the cpk archives (probably because they get streamed from RAM instead then).

I'm surprised nobody has pointed out, Class 10 isn't enough. There is Class 10, Class 10 UHS 1, and Class 10 UHS 3. UHS 3 is significantly faster than the other two.

What do you mean by 'quest 1'? I'm up to Death Mountain with the exact same method of loading as you and haven't encountered any problems asides slight load time problems.

EDIT: Whoops, I'm EUR console and US game, but that still shouldn't make a difference

Wiiu sd card slot can't read that fast. Class 10 is enough.

You want a card with fast 4k random write/speed not just a card with faster sequential speeds. Samsung evo, for example.

And even then your loading speed won't change that much.. games like 3d world and twilight princess will still suffer from slow loading times.

I've seen people mention StarFox Zero, SM3DW, and Twilight Princess many times, but I haven't seen people mention Bayonetta 2. On my Class 10 FAT32 formatted SD Card, I can run Mario Party 10 almost flawlessly (almost because the first time it loads the result screen for a minigame, it literally takes 40 seconds), Hyrule Warriors runs really well, but Bayonetta 2 is so bad, the cutscenes desync from their audio, and gameplay slows down to 15-20fps at best from time to time. Does anyone know of a repacking method for Bayonetta 2 or anything that could be done about this SD card wise?

Just tested TPHD on my card. Loads up in 6 seconds. Runs perfectly after that. Get a name brand HIGH end card. I am using the PNY 256gb

He's talking about the loading times after you started the actual game. The game loads every time you enter a new area (like the village in the beginning) and before cut scenes. The screen goes black (or white sometimes) for a number of seconds. That's the anoying part. Not the loading time before the title screen.

I dont get what you are saying? My card is a very high end 256 PNY Class 10. Works great.
- WiiU doesn't support UHS, so limited to SD card 2.0 maximum transfer speed of 25MB/s
- WiiU optical drive speed is about 22.5MB/s
- Random access speed of SD media is <1ms
- Random access speed of OSD is at least ten times slower.

Meaning, 30mb/s its 5mb/s higher that what th Wii U can read.

I'm pretty sure loadiine is the bottleneck
The SD redirect code must add considerable overhead to file access speed (not to confuse with transfer speed).

Nice to see more reports for more games having slow loading times.
Yoshi's Woolly World loading times seems normal to me, not slow at all.

I use a 8GB SD Card, but I forgot to check the class.
The only thing I know is that it came with my JVC camera back in 2011.
