GBAtemp Game of Year 2015 - Round 1

I have yet to play fallout 4 so it could have changed but most accounts are "more of the same but better" and previous fallout and Bethesda titles do pretty well at allowing me to make a character, wander into the world and interact with it in various ways. It seems 4 lack New Vegas' hardcore mode so I guess you might bring it up on that but I am not sure how a charge of lousy role playing could stick.

Xenoblade X arrives in December, as do other games. Also, it's just silly and laughable, but the people who do it probably do it because they feel like game awards for a year have to be done during that year, and you can't start on 12/31 and finish right away, lol.

More seriously I have considered a mid year gaming awards to coincide with the summer/mid year drought. Nothing gets released, all regions get a chance to play, things that get bumped to January or February for whatever reason are still fresh in mind. I remember doing something slightly similar for the DS for the 5 years of DS ROMs stuff and that cutoff worked surprisingly well. However I would have to do it off my own back and as mentioned elsewhere I am not much about the current games this last three or so years*.

Also yeah I remember the fire emblem title screen 3d texture stuff.

*that said if the this guy can do top films of 2008 in 2014 and make it work then there is scope, I would also have the benefits of mods and patches.

I've been too poor to buy any but three of these games, and I've yet to play those three enough to have a solid opinion. Either way, I don't feel it would be fair to vote if I haven't played the vast majority of the games on the list.

Either way though, it'll be fun to see how this turns out.
