o shall I buy one now, or shall I wait till the new one comes out?
It should come out in a couple of months.

The next generation (knowing apple) will have the dual-core cpu, maybe better cameras. A better gpu. (The new iPad gpu is 5x as fast iirc)
I even heard rumors about 3D, but don't hope that's included

I think not.

I think it's a good idea to wait.

Don't wait.... there's still 6 months 'til the next irritation of the device. And Apple doesn't stop support after one update. So, yes. Get it.

I got mine 3 weeks ago and it was the best upgrade ever.

Get one now. I always get a an Apple product every 2nd genaration, and I don't regret it

They usually make a revolutionery product every 2nd genaration, like 2g, then 4g (3gs doesn't count). I don't think that the new ipod will have alot of diferences from the old one exept a little faster CPU.

Agreed. As miffed as I was when I realised just how big an upgrade a 4th Gen was over my 3rd Gen iPod I'm just glad I didn't get an 8GB model. I got my iPod 6 month before Apple announced their new models (which was about October/November if I remember right) so it was still worth it.

Haha iFish. Good one.

(Or did you really mean iteration??)

Anyways, I was thinking of getting a 4g too. But then the iPad 2 came out with 9 times more powerful GPU. I am not so sure anymore.

Haha, Flash.

Apple will never allow flash on the device.
You are an idiot sometime iFish.
The iPhone4 has flash. An LED one. It was a blow for getting it on the platform

My advice is, get it. If you're not an Apple geek, there's no real need to upgrade every year, despite Apple trying to tempt you. Seriously, all major features, programms and games run on 3G iPod Touches/ iPhones 3GS just all right now. So you can buy a 4G iTouch now and upgrade to iTouch 6G in 2013. Seriusly, technology dosn't progress quickly enough to make something revolutionary every single year.

+1

I'm sure that the ipod touch 4 can handle all apps for the next 2 years. At the end of this year and 2012 we'll see more apps that will use the unreal engine 3 or a different engine on the same level, but the ipod 4 can handle this without a problem.
