As you may have noticed (unless you visit the forum blind-folded), there have been a few vendetta wars here lately. Members have been starting wars or causing trouble based on their preferences of forums or other mediums.
We will no longer, during this sad period, so easily condone this... if any member causes obvious disruption or attempts to stir any kind of trouble here at GBAtemp, they will be immediately suspended by a member of staff, and then their status here will be discussed in the staff forum.
We regret to be forced into doing this but we have a large user base and it's difficult for everyone to get along, and for us to get along with you, but there are times when these vendettas can't continue to happen... and this is one of them.

Note that re-registering in attempt to bypass your suspension won't be tolerated.

If anyone has problems with this please PM or e-mail me.

Hmm... while I admit I was never ronins biggest fan, heh... I am taken back by the immaturity of some people here. GBATemp was already on the edge after the cruddy and IRC incidents... did the uniemelk guys think the staff here would go any lighter on them because of that? Or prehaps they thought they could get away with their actions because they had a GBATemp mod in the group? Either way they were just asking for trouble... glad to see the staff sorted it out.

*Sigh* The amusing thing is that I recall saying ages ago that if something wasn't done about the relaxed nature of the sig "restrictions" it would only cause trouble later on... hmm

Anyway just out of curiosity how long do the suspensions last? ...They seem to becoming pretty popular ATM

The suspensions last as long as it takes to sort out the problems, and if the problems look like they can't be sorted then that will be that and they will be gone...

I don't see the problem with the sig restrictions, as it were.

The thing to remember is that *to use you and an example darkforce* your sig as it is now is fine. If you had text links there as well as your chosen sig it's fine. If you won and award and added it, that would be fine as well..

A single sig image that entire size though is just asking for trouble, it's too big, the sig restriction is for the sig image, not the sig space.

Now if someone wanted to abuse that then we remove the sig, djgarf even asked koekie to remove his sig but was met with "it's the same size as tempests"..

In short no it wasn't, Tempests "Sig" is the blue image made by D2, that is his sig, you'd think most people would know that...

I know you said it might cause problems a while ago, and so did a few others (puck and kota if I remember correctly) but I'd rather it stay as is then change it to the point where we have to be nazi's because of the few that want to rebel because they have nothing better to do.

You bring up another point and after this last weeks incidents it's like we started to put a pillar back up that toppled over to support the roof of the GBAtemp Hotel, and then they decided to jump on the roof while we're doing it...

All in all guys I thank you for your patience with us while we fix the leaks in the roof...

come on dude, everybody knows a sig is everything you have in your signature.
that's why it's called "edit sig"

sig restrictions are there, so that you don't have to scroll too far to get to the other post, now would it matter if you scroll though an image or through 10 awards? no.
so what's the point in this.

I'm new btw

so now danm i'm fed up with this.

WhyTF can't those liking GBATemp stay here and have fun and those liking Unimelk stay there and have fun.

WhyTF crossing the lines and causing troubles. stay on your sides and do not go to the others to distrurb. because if the peops of unimelk (i can't judge the opposite, am not over there) come here to disturb only then sorry, ban the bitches. this is no battle ground here.

also. mods like djgarf. please do not write those comments like you do in on sigs removed like the last two times. you only provoke them more and you make things escalate. do it like tempest and smack em down with the conventional means if they cause trouble without making a big fuss.

thx.

it dosent make things esclate because they were intent on causing trouble so no matter what i did this would of kicked off anyway

also if we just remove the sig it looks like we are hiding by not saying who removed it

has this importance? if you write "sig removed because against the rules" that's enough. you are a staff team. you work as a team. it's ok if one says "i've done it" if it helps the matter but towards clearly visible attacks there is no need for turning out the benevolent guy, act as a team and clean up the mess. i guess most of the members would have a similar opinion.
