Better then, I didn't check because it really didn't affect me, and just wanted to post an option and say it was still available on the European (at least the Spanish one). Thank you for being more responsible.misinformation

I've deleted the Wi-Fi connection in settings and removed the ethernet from the dock. No internet connection means no firmware updates, but maybe some cartdriges could include the required firmware on it, unsure if that's a thing. What can we do to prevent a firmware update from downloading automatically?
Don't forget, getting banned is also an option.Like mentioned before. I'm gonna eat a cartridge If it gets hacked (and face an account ban if I don't).
You too - sick of your negativity around here. There will be no surprise for Nintendo either. Sorry. Keep dreaming. S2 will not be hacked.

Game installed, firmware updated (begrudgingly), 90dns set and awaiting delivery of a ESP32-S3 for typing.interesting. bought the game just in case
Hopefully and veeery probably Zelda OoT Remake won't have such a new update, 23.0.1 max.I've deleted the Wi-Fi connection in settings and removed the ethernet from the dock. Ah, now I see the cartridge thing, thank you.Don't forget, getting banned is also an option.
Goes to show that there's nothing wrong with being hopeful for something like this, dumb to be negative. Ignorant even, if you haven't looked into exploting it yourself.

Most probably not. If it would require a newer firmware, it would be already downloadable, think the cartridges have been produced for a while already as they need to be shipped.Hopefully and veeery probably Zelda OoT Remake won't have such a new update, 23.0.1 max.
FernandoRocker and ChibiMofo were two individuals who repeatedly claimed that the Nintendo Switch 2 represented a flawless example of cybersecurity, supposedly free of any exploitable vulnerabilities and therefore entirely immune to hacking. They were both extremely loud and irritating and even insulting. While ChibiMofo's statements were evidently intended as trolling, FernandoRocker continued to defend the same questionable assertions. To emphasize his absolute confidence in the console's security, he even declared that he would eat a cartridge if the Switch 2 were ever hacked or get a ban on this forum. However, he conveniently failed to specify what kind of cartridge he was referring to.Wait, what ? what is that cartridge thing all about ? Just curiosity... O: D
They've had plenty of time to make Zelda OoT final. So even if there's a day one update, it doesn't matter, I am playing with what comes in the damn cartridge, no connectivity given. Most probably not. If it would require a newer firmware, it would be already downloadable, think the cartridges have been produced for a while already as they need to be shipped.
However, since this is now out, probably nintendo will make a new firmware and they can have a day1 patch require said update, but I don't believe the game in the cartridge would need a newer firmware than 23.0.1
Yeah, I knew their - probably ideology fueled - trolling/belief/... for the SW2 not being hacked ever ( even if you believe such a thing, it is still a bad betFernandoRocker and ChibiMofo were two individuals who repeatedly claimed that the Nintendo Switch 2 represented a flawless example of cybersecurity, supposedly free of any exploitable vulnerabilities and therefore entirely immune to hacking. FernandoRocker now has only three options: provide clear and verifiable proof that he has actually consumed and digested a cartridge, formally request that an administrator ban his account, or do neither and thereby destroy whatever credibility he has left once and for all.
Edit: I'm fairly certain Chibi will respond by claiming that this is "not a real hack unless you can [insert arbitrary requirement here]" or argue that the statement was only meant to refer to [insert random Nintendo or NVIDIA software or hardware module here].

Michael is a divaI can't imagine banning somebody for such an accomplishment as this, AI or not. The AI hate's really got to stop. Its pretty clear here its going to stifle more than its going to help the homebrew scene.

yea... aged like fresh milk. But it was foreseeable.LOL at this guy, it's a shame his thread is closed.
First off: outside of very early firmwares, the original Switch doesn’t have any exploitable kernel bugs. There are entry points, but nothing that hands you a full custom firmware. So why does hacking still happen? Because Nvidia screwed up.
Early Switch units became infamous because a simple hardware trick could get you into the device. That “paper-clip” entry point wasn’t some accidental miracle: the Tegra X1 has a recovery mode Nintendo and Nvidia actually use for servicing and flashing. Hackers found two big problems there: recovery mode didn’t check how big a payload was (so it could...

Static recompilation of MKW ? That would mean encrypted executable contents decrypted and/or dumped, either cryptographically opened pretty wild or having something similar or even more deep than what the published thing does ( to be able to dump the game while running ). Damn, these kiddos today, you need to have some basics to even troll on a proper level...

same, except i local host the dns redirects and ctest headers, and esp32-s3 for typing, as apparently i have to type out the contents of bootstrap.bas manually (no thanks)Game installed, firmware updated (begrudgingly), 90dns set and awaiting delivery of a ESP32-S3 for typing.

Stull no hack. Its is just userland but a good one. Hopefully a full kernel will appear but i don't knowLOL at this guy, it's a shame his thread is closed.

considering it allows us to decrypt, extract, view, and alter NCA4, it's already valuable.Stull no hack. Its is just userland but a good one. Hopefully a full kernel will appear but i don't know
