The title. We found out how to overclock the Switch so I'm just wondering why we haven't figured it out for the 3DS. The only thing we figured out is how to force New 3DS mode (and pick what mode is forced), otherwise, there is really no OC'ing. Is the 3DS not capable of it yet the Switch somehow is? Just wondering what's going on there.

Because it's just a non-issue, since Nintendo didn't choose to underclock the 3DS' processor (unlike PSP, Vita and others)

The display is actually somewhat trivial, as you can just mess with registers and reach around 80-100hz on the top panel. CPU who knows, I don't think much has been looked into, the GPU is a complete black box. The memory is just entirely unexplored.

You can OC the Old 3DS as much as you want but it still lacks the extra 2 ARM11 cores for the CPU and the extra RAM, so if the idea is to achieve the same performance of a N3DS, that will never happen.

What about OC'ing a New 3DS?
